Cheque Personalization System (CPS)

Background
From the year so-and-so, when we received a security printing license from Indian Bankers Association (IBA), we started production work on banker’s Cheque books. A cheque book consists of cheque leaves with special MICR ink and font based numbering, a personalized requisition slip and front-back cover of the bank. Starting with a few banks, we learned the skills of perfecting our cheque book quality through market feedback and constant internal review for improvements.

Introduction of CPS
In year 2016, we developed a software utility named cheque-personalization-system (CPS) that would enable any bank to print cheques within their facility, using a desktop printer and our provided secured stationery, in a matter of a few minutes. [swapnil]
It is a software solution which helps to build personalised cheque as per the client’s requirements. It has security features like hidden text, unique information of the user, the end user’s account details, and bank details like Name of the Bank with its branch.

Challenge: Cheque printing procedures at G.P. Parsik Bank, involving Excel files and manual data entry, resulted in four-day turnaround times, logistical inefficiencies, and human error risks. This impacted customer satisfaction and strained bank staff.

Centralized printing in 21 Mumbai branches combined with decentralized CPS implementation in 52 Maharashtra, Goa, and Karnataka branches enabled daily printing of 120-125 cheque books centrally and 23-26 per branch, significantly increasing overall capacity.
