Bangladesh Freedom Fighter

Bangladesh Freedom Fighters: The Heroes of a Nation's Independence
Bangladesh Freedom Fighters, also known as Mukti Bahini, were the brave individuals who fought for the independence of Bangladesh during the Bangladesh Liberation War (1971). Their sacrifices and unwavering dedication played a pivotal role in liberating Bangladesh from Pakistan rule and establishing a sovereign nation.

Recognition and Honor:
The Bangladesh government established the Mukti Bahini Welfare Trust to provide support and recognition to the surviving freedom fighters and their families. Additionally, several awards and decorations, including the Bir Sreshtho (The Most Valiant Hero), were established to honor their courage and sacrifice.

Ministry of Liberation War Affairs (MoLWA):
MoLWA is a government ministry responsible for preserving the memories of the Bangladesh Liberation War. This includes maintaining war memorials, providing welfare support to freedom fighters, and promoting research and education about the war.

Company Behind The Project
Secura Bangladesh Limited (SBL) is a producer of high quality printed products and printing solutions. SBL specializes in designing, processing, and printing all kinds of print items. SBL has a long list of clientele that covers both local and overseas markets. Secure Bangladesh Limited (SBL) is the Sales and Marketing Channel Partner of our company Devharsh Infotech / Security Software and Solutions LLP.

The Project
SBL was awarded the contract to supply official RFID cards and Certificates to these 25,000+ freedom fighters. Using these ID cards and certificates, the government would give social and economical benefits to these freedom fighter individuals and their dependents. Being our channel partner, they outsourced the design, development, printing, and digital storage of these online verifiable ID cards and certificates to us in September 2021.

Project Management
Applying the principles of project management, our team elicited the requirements from stakeholders SBL and MoLWA, with respect to the software, database, and secured documents. Requirement was to create a web-application that would fetch data, through secure mediums, from MoLWA database, and generate print-ready documents of ID card and Certificate. Each document will carry the basic profile information of the Freedom Fighter (FF) along with security elements such as Ghost image, Invisible data, Micro text, Encrypted QR code, and a unique high-quality design. A mobile application for any verifier to scan the encrypted QR code to authenticate the originality of the printed information was part of the deliverables.

Execution, Challenges and Success story
Our document security designers, data security engineers, and application developers, in conjunction with stakeholders, created ID card and certificate documents passing all acceptance criteria. The challenge was to capture data in their regional language, eliminating any linguistic errors. Developing a custom workflow of auditing and approving data before printing was another challenge. Integrating with existing inter-programmed software solutions of the 1st party, maintaining data integrity along with clear ownership of data, was something that required additional care. Being an international project, from the beginning, we knew that communication would be the key to success. Weekly meetings and daily transparent reporting on the progress and challenges helped us deliver the solution on time. Even today, as we speak, ongoing maintenance support is being provided to our customers with the same level of energy.
